Oxagon – the floating industrial city under development in the southwest corner of the Neom development in Saudi Arabia – is in talks to construct a 1GW artificial intelligence data center.
An initial 400MW phase could be signed this year, claimed Oxagon’s CEO Vishal Wanchoo in an interview with Semafor.

The data center would be powered by renewable energy and utilize backup batteries to ensure a stable flow of electricity.
In addition, the company is exploring an “innovative cooling technology” to reduce energy consumption, stated Wanchoo.
